PRIVATE TOUR: Mayan Ruins – Tulum and Coba ruins + cenote!

Did you know that Tulum was an important trading port for the Mayans, who traded goods such as turquoise and jade? That you can ride a bike inside Coba ruins? Or that the cenotes are part of the most important and large underground rivers in the world? Discover it all on this tour!

Experience the beauty and history of Mexico on our Tulum and Muyil ruins + Cenote tour! Start your day with a visit to the stunning Tulum ruins, the only Mayan ruins situated on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Your private guide will tell you all about the ancient Mayan civilization and its trading practices as you explore the well-preserved buildings and structures. You will also be able to take photos in the most popular spots, such as: El Castillo, Temple of the Frescoes, The Wall and The Cliff! Overall, the Tulum ruins offer many opportunities for beautiful and iconic photos. Don’t forget to bring your camera or smartphone and capture the memories of your visit to this stunning ancient site.

Next, we’ll head to Coba ruins, known for its impressive pyramids, including the tallest Mayan pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula, Nohoch Mul, which stands at over 42 meters (138 feet) tall. Visitors to Coba can climb to the top of Nohoch Mul and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding jungle.

Coba is unique among Mayan ruins because it is set deep in the jungle, and the site is only partially excavated, meaning that visitors can experience a sense of discovery as they explore the ruins. Visitors can also rent bicycles or hire a Mayan limousine, like we like to call it (pedicab) to explore the site, as it covers a large area. The Mayan limousine is recommended for those that feel like walking 1.5 miles is too far… or if you just want to experience the limousine ride!

After exploring the ruins, it’s time for lunch! We’ll stop at a local restaurant where you can sample traditional Mexican cuisine and savor the flavors of the region.

Finally, we’ll take you to a beautiful cenote, a natural swimming hole formed by the collapse of limestone bedrock. Cool off in the crystal-clear water as you soak up the stunning scenery and tranquility of the cenote.

Our Tulum and Coba ruins + Cenote tour is the perfect way to experience the history, culture, and natural beauty of Mexico. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore two incredible archaeological sites, enjoy delicious food, and swim in a beautiful cenote. Book your tour today!
