Taco Tour – Puerto Morelos

Wanna experience tacos like a local?! You’re in luck because this tour takes you to the colonial area of Puerto Morelos, where you’ll get the REAL taco experience.  It includes 3 taco places and a stop in the town square.  These stops will serve up AUTHENTIC flavors– meat, cliantro, onions, homemade salsa and fresh tortillas!

You’re in luck because this tour takes you to the colonial area of Puerto Morelos, where you’ll get the REAL taco experience.  It includes 3 taco places and a stop in the town square.  These stops will serve up AUTHENTIC flavors– meat, cilantro, onions, homemade salsa, and fresh tortillas! I bet you’re wondering about the stop at the local park. That’s where we’ll wrap the tour up with a stop for dessert. That’s right, dessert!

What do you do on the Taco Tour?

  • Chomp down on tacos at 3 different stands; you’ll receive 2 tasty tacos at each location with choices of beef, pork, chicken, chorizo, and more!
  • Let me know if you need vegetarian options so we can make plans according.  Vegetarian options are at 2 spots for the evening tours.
  • Drink Local beverages, which you might need if you get into the hot salsas! Choose from Jamaica, Tamarindo, and Horchata. There will also be bottled water available.
  • Stop at the local park to get your dessert served up from a food cart! You can choose from chamoyadas, churros, plantains, and more!

  • Transport –
    • (Option 1) Pick-up in Puerto Morelos will include transport from the Catholic Church beachside near the square.
    • (Option 2) Pick-up from the Resort/Hotel in Cancun, Puerto Morelos, or Playa Del Carmen will be outside the main lobby of your hotel or resort.
  • Tacos, obviously! 2 tacos at the 3 locations (Choices with beef, pork, chicken, chorizo, and more)!
  • Let me know if you need vegetarian options so we can make plans according.  Vegetarian options are at 2 spots for the evening tours.
  • 2 locations will have vegetarian options
  • Drinks – Bottled water/Jamaica/Tamarindo/Horchata
  • Desert – Chamoyadas, churros, plantain and more options.
  • 2 to 3 hours is time of total tour
  • Meeting location is the Catholic church in the main square beach side. (Parroquia San Jose Obrero)
  • We will take a 10 minute drive to the first location.
  • We will visit 2 more locations that are all with in a 5 minute drive.
  • Time will be about 20 t0 30 minutes at each place. With groups over 6 to 10 the time will take a little longer.
  • Let’s do some serious taco talk for just a second, ok? These will be authentic Mexican style tacos, which are small and made with soft corn tortillas that are either lightly grilled or steamed. If non-authentic flour tortillas are more your thing, those will be available as well. The tacos will be topped with fresh cilantro leaves and finely diced white onions. Don’t forget the salsas! Each location will have a selection of salsa for you to choose from to top off your tacos. Sounds delicious, right?!

The Pick-up location in Puerto Morelos is the catholic church, across from the town square, beachside. The MORNING tour is great if you have kids that need to be in bed early for evenings! MORNING TOUR: 8:30am - 11:30 am EVENING TOUR: 5:30pm - 8:30pm When you book just let me know in the notes what tour you would like! We will allow the booking but after may need to make adjustments based on availability.
